Welcome to the Enfield Volunteer Fire Dept.

Serving the community since 1957

Home

The Enfield Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1957 to service the community of Enfield, Nova Scotia, located about 10 Km north of the Stanfield (Halifax) International Airport. We are an incorporated body that operates with an elected Executive Committee comprised of a President, Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Secretary, and Treasurer. Our Fire Officers are appointed by the Executive and we also employ one day-time firefighter.

With over 40 members, we respond to various types of emergencies, including Structure Fires, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Medical Emergencies, and Public Assistance and we also provide Mutual Aid assistance to the surrounding fire departments. Our hall also serves the community as a venue for various social activities such as wedding receptions, parties, and meetings.

Training sessions take place on Tuesday evenings, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Monthly business meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month starting at 8:00 p.m.

New members are always welcome - feel free to drop by any Tuesday night for a visit.
